He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. Until He was thirty, He worked in a carpenter shop and then for three years He was an itinerant preacher. He wrote no books. He held no office. He never owned a home. He was never in a big city. He never traveled two hundred miles from the place He was born. He never did any of the things that usually accompany greatness. I have written this book to my 2 grandsons about how Jesus lived and died so that we all could be saved. 

  My oldest grandson wanted to know who Jesus was and what did he do for us when he lived on earth. I told them the whole story in a one on one conversation. When I completed this book, my middle daughter who teaches English proofread it and she wanted to correct the quotations and change it to a more formal reading. I have chosen not to change the way it was written but to leave it in the present form so that it will let the readers experience me (Pa) having a true conversation with my 2 grandsons.

      There is a 116 pages of different chapters of each event that happen in The Life of Jesus Christ

One day my grandsons Keary & Kason was over for the weekend and he asked me “hey Pa” who was Jesus Christ and could you tell me and my baby brother his story and what he done to make our life and the world a better place to live.

I told him: Well Champ this is a very long story and has been written in every Language and all types of translations but for me to tell you this story, I will have to tell it in the way so both of you could understand it. Okay Pa:  “Tell us the story the way we talk today but do not change any of the meaning so that Jesus Life is told.   “Okay Champ”.

Chapter 1

**Jesus Birth Foretold**

 Hey Pa:  How did they know that they would have a  baby?

  Well Champ:  Let me tell you how this story began.

        Now the birth of Jesus Christ was like this; when his mother, Mary, was engaged to Joseph, before they came together, she was found pregnant by the Holy Spirit.

   Hey Pa:  What did her husband say?

 Champ:  Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not willing to make her a public example, intended to put her away secretly But when he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, don't be afraid to take to yourself Mary, your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. She shall bring forth a son. You shall call his name Jesus, for it is he who shall save his people from their sins."

Hey Pa: I bet his mother was afraid when she met those ghost and they told her she would have a baby?

 No Champ: They were not ghost, they were a spirit sent from God and his mother was proud to be chosen.

Hey Pa:  I hope me and my brother is chosen by God.

“Oh! What a mighty Spirit”

Chapter 2b**birth of Jesus

Hey Pa:  Where was the baby born and did anybody

             Bring him some gifts?

      Yeah Champ:  Joseph had to look around town to find some where for the baby to be born. There weren’t any hotels or houses for them to rent so he had to keep looking so finally he found an empty barn.

  Hey Pa:  In the barn is where my daddy keeps his horses. I’m glad that I wasn’t born in a barn.

Yeah Champ:  But Jesus was born there so that we all could be saved.

Chapter 3a**
How His Story Begins

Hey Pa:  Did Joseph do what he dreamed and what did they name the baby?

Ye  Yeah Champ:  Joseph arose from his sleep, and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and married his wife and didn't sleep in the bed with her until she had brought forth her firstborn son.

He named him Jesus

Going Looking for a Savior

Hey Champ:

•        King Herod secretly called the wise men, and learned from them exactly what time the star appeared.  He sent them to Bethlehem, and said, "Go and search all over Bethlehem for the young child.

•         When you have found him, let me know, so that I also may come and worship him."

•        ”Glory be to God”

Chapter 3c
Follow that Star

     Hey Pa: What did they do?

Well Champ: When they finished listening to the king. They left him there and followed the star, which they saw in the east that was above their head, the star stood over where the young child had been born.

    Hey Pa:  Did they see the star? 

 Yes Champ:  When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy.

Hey Pa:  Did they pick the baby up and give him gifts?

       Well Champ: The baby was too little to pick up but they came into the barn and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Opening their treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold, frankincense, and blessings.

Hey Pa:  I like to get gifts.

    Yeah Champ: You and your little brother like gifts.

Chapter 5a Jesus in the Temple

 Hey Pa: Did they ever take him to down town?

Yeah Champ: Little boys at that time had to be brought to

               A temple in Jerusalem, too present him to

               God that would make them holy to the Lord.

     Hey Pa: Did the peoples say anything when they saw a

               Little boy like Jesus in the temple?

Well Champ: There was a man in the Temple from

               Jerusalem that the Holy Ghost had reveal

               That he would not die before he had seen

               The Lord Christ but when Mary & Joseph

               Brought in their son, the man took little boy

               In his arms and Blessed God, and said “Lord

               Now let me die in peace, according to thy   word:

               Because I have seen your blessing that you have prepared before the face of all people”.

    Hey Pa:  I will be glad when I get 12 years old.

     Why Champ? Are you going to help your parents and

              Watch your little brother?

Yeah Pa: I am going to help with my brother and when we finish working I am going fishing with my father.

“Pa I wish my father would take me to see a temple".

          “I am ready to die because I have seen the savior”

Chapter 5d… 12 Years Old Jesus at the Temple

 Yeah Champ:  I’ll be glad when the little Champ is about 12

      Hey Pa:  My little brother is still sleeping.

                 Years old so that he will not be sleeping so 
    much.

  Hey Pa:  Was Jesus smart when he got older?

 Ye   Yeah champ:  As Jesus grew he became strong in Spirit and he had a lot of wisdom, and the Grace of God was upon him. His parents still went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the pass over.

 Champ:   One year when Jesus was 12 years old, they had gone to the feast & when it was over they left but when they got home, they discovered that their son did not come back with them. They ask their neighbors had anyone seen him then everyone looked for him for 3 days.

Hey Pa: When I go somewhere with my parents I always come home with them. Did Jesus get in trouble because he went some where else?

  No Champ: His parents found out that he was not just a kid, he was sent to earth for a different reason.

Hey Pa:  What do you mean when you say he was sent to earth for a different reason?

  Patien   Wait Champ:  Let me tell you the rest of the story and that should make you understand more about the reason.

Chapter 5e
“I can sit and teach among the wisest of Men”

Hey Champ: When they had finished looking in the neighborhood, Joseph his father told his mother Mary “hey why don’t we go back to the temple and see if anyone there had seen him”.

     Hey Pa:  I wonder what had happen to him?

   Well Champ:  When they got back to Jerusalem they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, elders, and all wises men, listening to them and asking them questions.

         Hey Pa:  What was he telling them?

Champ:  He told them that people would be driving cars, airplanes would fly in the air, man would be able to walk on the moon, people would talk on cell phones and watch television and have lights, gas and drink water from fountains everybody that heard him was amazed at his understanding and answers.

    Hey Pa:  Jesus could see all those things, that was a long time ago nobody knew what he was talking about, did they Pa?

 Yeah Champ:  Jesus was sent to earth to save and teach man about   the greatness of God. Even as a 12 year old child he knew more than the wisest of people on earth.

Hey Pa: I will be glad when I get 12 years old because I will know a lot more.

“Did he know we would have computers?”

“I like to play video games”

Chapter 6a
“We want to be baptized”

  He  Hey Pa: Don’t you have to be baptized to teach about religi   religion?

No Ch   No Champ; you don’t have to be baptized to teach about religion but the baptism is the way that Christians show others that they want to clean sins from the body and will follow the teaching of Jesus.

He  Hey Pa:  My little brother and I are going to be baptized, so that we will grow up and be good little boys.

Ch  Champ: That’s good because both of you want to be great men when you grow up. Following in the footsteps of Jesus will keep you safe.

Hey Pa: Didn’t Jesus get baptize in a river but now the only thing we do in rivers is to go fishing.

 Ch   Champ: Most churches have baptizing pools installed when the church is built.

“I’m going to get baptized”

“Take us to the river”

”Wash away my sins”

Chapter 6b the Baptism of Jesus

By John the Baptist

Hey Pa:  What was the name of the man who baptized Jesus?

Champ:   His Name was John but the people call him John the

           Baptist.

  Hey Pa:  I bet John the Baptist, did not want to baptize a person who was sent to earth by God.

   Yes Champ:  But John the Baptist obeyed Jesus, when he was baptized, he went up directly from the water: and all the heavens above the sky were opened to him.

      Hey Pa: What happen when the sky open up.

 Champ: He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and coming on to him then, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."

Hey Pa: God was very happy its like when I make a good report card my daddy and mother is so proud of me.

 Yea   Yeah Champ: Keep making good grades in school and you can help your little brother with his lessons too.

Okay Pa.

“I LOVE THE LORD”

”Am I worthy enough to baptize you?”

Chapter 7a the Fasting of Jesus   & Testing by Satan

     Hey Pa:  After Jesus was baptized did the devil ever try to make him do bad things?

Yeah Champ:  There was one time when Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.

   Hey Pa:  Was he tempted by the devil?

   Well  Champ:  When Jesus had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry afterward. The devil came to him and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones Become bread."

       Hey Pa:  Did he make the stones turn into bread?

   No  Champ:  Jesus was a strong person and he answered “hey devil it is written that; man shall not live by bread alone”.

     Hey Pa:  Did he ask him what will the people eat?

 Yeah  Champ:  He told him that man should be fed by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

        Hey Pa:  I don’t like people who try to make you do what you don’t want to do.

“Let’s see you pass my test”

“I can deceive you”

“I want those stones turn into bread”

Ch  Chapter 11a the Twelve Disciples

      “We are Soldiers”

Hey Pa: How many men did Jesus have and what were their names?

 Champ: There were 12 of them and that old king was looking for them but let me tell you how they were found and what happen to Jesus and his helpers who are known as disciples.

Ok Hey Pa:  I hope that they will never be found and I like those disciples.

“We will follow you”                     Brotherhood Forever

{1^ST} Simon, who is called Peter, {2^nd} Andrew his brother,

{3^rd} James, {4^th} John his brother, {5^th} Philip,

{6^th} Bartholomew, {7^th} Thomas, {8^th} Mathew, {9^th} James, {10^th} Lebbaeu, {11^th} Simon, and Judas the [12^th] who betrayed him.

“We are here and will always help you”    

Cha   Chapter 12b the Teaching of the Blessings

“Love”

Blessed a    We are the PEACE MAKERS: for they will be called the children of God.

Hey Pa: When we grow up, we are going to make peace with everybody.

“Rejoice”

Rejoice, a     Rejoice and be GLAD: for you will have a great

REWARD   Reward in HEAVEN: for so persecuted they

PERSECU  PERSECUTED they the PROPHETS which were before you.

Hey Pa:   Hey Pa: we are happy

“Judge they are right”       Not guilty

Blessed a    Blessed are they, which are PERSECUTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS sake: Yours is the kingdom of heaven.

 Hey Pa  Hey Pa: My little brother and I are not going to get in trouble when we grow up.

“I will punish you”                ”And say evil things about you”

 Blessed  Blessed are you, when men shall REVILE you, and PERSECUTE you, and shall SAY all manner of EVIL against you FALSELY, for MY SAKE. 

        H   Hey Pa: Why do people do evil things?

 Well C   Well Champ: They are working for the devil.

“Teac    Teach us more Pa”                   

 “My Little brother is awake”

 “Jus    Just Keep on Blessing me”

Chap   Chapter 15 JESUS MEETS NICODEMUS                  

               “How can I be born again?”

“I Lov     "I Love This World”

     He  Hey Pa: Did Jesus ever meet any of the rulers or kings that were over the Jewish people?

Yeah c  Hey Champ; He met a man who was named Nic-o-de-mus, a ruler of the Jews, he told Jesus, we know that you are a teacher from God.

     He  Hey Pa: How did he know that Jesus was a teacher from God?

 Well Ch   Champ:  He told him that because of the things he had done. He told Jesus that no man could do these miracles that you do, unless God has sent him.

Then Je   Then Jesus answered, I say unto thee except a man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

      He  Hey Pa: Did he know what Jesus was talking about?

   No Ch   Yeah Champ: Nic-o-de-mus said: How can a man are born again when he is old?

Then Je    Then Jesus said “I say unto you: except a man is born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of water and of the spirit, that which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of spirit is spirit.

      Hey  Hey Pa: Did he tell why God needed him to be born again?

Yeah Ch  Yeah Champ: Jesus told him, “for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have ever lasting life.

“You mus    You must be born again”              “my brother is a new born baby”

C      Chapter 21b Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead

Hey P   Hey Pa:  What did Jesus tell her because she knew her brother was dead?

Cham  Champ:  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live, and whosoever lived and believeth in me shall never die, do you believe me?

       Pa:  Did she believe him?

Yes Cha   Yes Champ:  Martha said yea Lord; I believe that thou art Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world. Then she called Mary; the master has come and called for you.

    Hey   Hey Pa:  Did her sister believe that Jesus could save her brother?

Yes Cha  Yes Champ:  Mary fell on her knees; Lord if you were here my brother would not have died.

 When J  Jesus saw her weeping, he began to weep. Jesus went where Lazarus was buried, Jesus told them to take away the big stone. Jesus looked up and asks God:

 Father,  I thank thee that thou has heard me, and I know you hear me always, but because of the people which stand by: I say this to you, so that they may believe, that thou had sent me:

    Hey   Hey Pa:  What did Jesus do after he had prayed to God?

 Well Cha  Well Champ: Jesus shouted with a loud voice, LAZ-A-RUS come forth and he who was dead came forth, bound by his hand & feet with grave clothes on, and his face bound with napkins. Jesus told them to “loose him and Let him go”.        “Don’t stop believing”

“  "Thank You for letting me be back with my sisters”

“Oh Mary don’t you weep”

Chapter 26!!!Judas!!! Betrays Jesus

       Kiss by the devil

 Hey Pa: Did all of Jesus disciples love and look out for  him?

         N  No Champ: One of the 12 Disciples who name was Judas Iscariot went to the Chief Priest and said “what would you give me if I would bring Jesus unto you.

             Hey Pa: Would the king pay money to get Jesus?

        Yes Champ: They Chief Priest said we would give you 30 pieces of silver.

             Wow Pa: I bet he wanted more money than that and he was one of the disciples that he really loved. Is that right Pa?

        Yes Champ: But Judas set out to betray him.

            Hey Pa: I don’t like him because I would never take money to get one of my friends killed. Did Jesus ever tell them that they would do something to him?

       Yea  Yeah Champ: One night Jesus was eating dinner with his Disciples; he told them “Listen I say unto you, that one of you will betray me. Each one of them said Lord is it I, then Judas said, master is it I, then Jesus said unto him “You have spoke and I believe it”.

            Hey Pa: I am going to teach my little brother that he should never do something like that to his family.

            That’s good Champ.

“I know you will betray me”

                    ”30 pieces of silver”       “you are a snake”

C  Chapter 35 the Denial of Christ by Peter

“I swear I don’t know him”

H   Hey Pa: Did all of the disciples speak up in court for Jesus and tried to help him?

No c   No Champ: Do you remember Peter who was the one that loved him so much. Well he was sitting in the palace. When one of the men recognized him and said: was that you with Jesus the last time he was in Galilee.

   H   Hey Pa: Did he say it was him?

No C   No champ: Peter denied it and said “I don’t know what you are talking about” then Peter went outside on the porch and a maid saw him & said: Hey everybody that’s the guy who was with Jesus, the guy from Nazareth:

   H   Hey Pa: Did he deny it the second time?

Yes C   Yes Champ: Peter said I don’t know that man, you must be out of your mind.

   Wo   Wow Pa: Don’t you remember you told me that Jesus had told him that he would deny him three times before the rooster crow. When did he deny him again?

     C  Champ: Peter was standing outside by the crowd and they began to tell him that he talked like the man called Jesus: Peter began cursing & swearing that he did not know Jesus and the rooster begin to crow.

 Peter then remembered the words of Jesus: That before the cock crow, you shall deny me 3 times.

    He  Hey Pa: What did Peter do when all that happened?

  Well C   Well Champ: Peter went outside & cried like a baby and he never forgot so later on he decided to take his own life.

   Pa: I   Pa: I feel so sad for him.                  “I swear I don’t know him”

C   Chapter 39B Jesus Crucifixion

    He  Hey Pa:  Was Jesus the only person that they were going to crucify?

 No C  No Champ: There were 2 thieves hanging on crosses on the right & left of Jesus. The people kept passing by shaking their heads, calling out to him “save yourself if you are the Son of God”; let me see you come down from that cross. The high priests and council laughed & joked with each other saying look at him, he saved others but he can’t save himself. 

     H  Hey Pa: Did God save Jesus from the People on the cross and how long did he stay hanging on the cross?

  No C  No Champ: Because Jesus was our leader sent to earth to save us but the people shouted out “Can God! Save you now?”

            Pa: What were the 2 thieves doing when all this was going on?

Well    Well Champ: The 2 thieves that were hanging on the crosses with him cried out, the one on his left said get us down for here man” I thought you was some type of God, but the one his right said “please tell your father about me, I do believe in you”.

     H  Hey Pa; What did he say to him?

Well    Well Champ: Jesus looked to his right and smiled, and then he told him your voice has been heard”. After hanging there for over 9 hours Jesus cried out saying “ELI, ELI LA MA SA BACH-THA-NI? (My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?

             “Your work has been done, my son”.

This is the greatest story ever written by a grandpa to his 2 grandsons about how Jesus Christ lived and died so that we all could be saved. The story is told from a grandpa's prospective to answer questions from his grandson on the life of Jesus Christ. Every parent should want to read this story to or allow their own children to read so that their mind can be filled with positive information. This is perfect timing to help teach our kids some good information.
